Nuestros intérpretes

El objetivo central de esta campaña es traducir contenidos del castellano escrito a las lenguas de señas nacionales de América y España. Así daremos un paso para garantizar el derecho de las personas sordas a la información.

Aun cuando estamos todavía concentrados en lograr obtener los recursos para financiar el cambio de diseño y programación del sitio, ya muchos intérpretes sordos y oyentes de España, Uruguay, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica y México han ofrecido su ayuda para comenzar las traducciones. Estamos asimismo conversando ya con una intérprete de El Salvador. Con algunos de los intérpretes (los que aparecen nombrados en el mapa) hemos incluso ya escogido los textos a traducir y conversado detalles técnicos de los videos que se producirán.

Esto augura un éxito que va más allá de nuestras expectativas. Nosotros considerábamos producir uno o dos, máximo tres videos. Pero es posible que al tener los cambios en la página, en marzo o abril del año próximo, contemos con al menos una traducción completa de un artículo en castellano a una cada una de las lenguas de señas nacionales de nuestro espacio natural, la América Hispana y España.
