We hope to get at least 100 people involved in this project with a first contribution to support everything from reconstruction to the purchase of materials, as well as energy and transaction costs, and to help create a livelihood and a community-minded space from the ruins. If we can get at least 50 people to contribute this amount, Ibrahim will be able to cover the store’s inventory and operating expenses for the first month. With another twenty extra contributions, Ibrahim will be able to support his family during the first few weeks as he begins construction. If you contribute this amount, we can send you four original A5 prints. You can see the original designs by artist Harry Malt, @harrymaltdrawing, on our website.

Booting up the project

Ten contributions of two hundred euros will fund the necessary renovations to the space; another ten contributions would cover the purchase of half the inventory needed to start selling products. Team up with a friend—the reward is two original A4-sized risograph prints by artist Amanda Priebe, which you can view on our website.

Civil disobedience workshop: lay the foundations for reconstruction

With four super-contributions of 500 euros, Ibrahim will be able to rent the space and contract the power supply. Another four contributions will help set up the initial provision. If you are unable to make an individual contribution, get together with friends or ask your collective. If you're around Madrid, you and your collective will be able to enjoy a face-to-face workshop about civil desobedience strategies with a gender perspective.

Llegamos al mínimo, ¡seguimos a por el óptimo!

Querida comunidad,

La pasada semana, cuando se habían cumplido 27 días de campaña ¡¡llegamos al mínimo!! Esto nos garantiza poder llevar a cabo nuestro proyecto, es verdaderamente una noticia esperada y muy merecida por el trabajo del equipo, de todas vosotras y por supuesto de Ibrahim por mantener el empeño para emprender en una situación tan hostil. Una vez hemos llegado hasta aquí ahora vamos a poner todas las fuerzas en alcanzar nuestra siguiente meta y lograr superar el óptimo.

UN COLMADO EN GAZA en La Villana de Vallekas
Seguimos llevando la campaña allí donde nos acogen. Esta vez en un espacio muy especial y querido, La villana de Vallekas. El pasado viernes 22 estuvimos compartiendo la historia del proyecto y animando a más personas a sumarse a la campaña. En La Villana mantienen su programación continua en solidaridad con el pueblo palestino, en esta ocasión con la proyección del corto "Palestina otro Vietnam" (Colectivo de Cine del Tercer Mundo, 1971) y el posterior encuentro entre Carolina Bracco y Lina Meruane. Resultó muy interesante y enriquecedor poner la mirada en Palestina 50 años atrás.

Seguimos sumando comercios
Queremos demostrar con esta campaña como el tejido social de un barrio puede servir de dispositivo de apoyo a la población local de Gaza. Cada semana se suman tiendas, bares, talleres de artesanía y una infinidad de comercios a la campaña, haciendo posible conseguir nuestros objetivo –ahora a por el óptimo, no podemos pararnos aquí– y además sensibilizando en la necesidad de seguir pensando en el pueblo de Palestina; no dejaremos de visibilizar este conflicto en nuestras calles.
