HeadHackers: Express, Create and Share.
A movement that was born breaking the established codes through creative freedom, purity and independence.

HeadHackers, the documentary, is the story of three young guys with a dream, to transform their world through hairdressing.
A seed that was born in Madrid as a result of their friendship and an illusion grew until they saw that their work and way of seeing life influenced hairdressers and not hairdressers, all over the world. (The HeadHackers)

Where the important thing is not what they create, it is what they have generated for an industry that moves millions of illusions in a sector so passionate and transforming of emotions in society such as hairdressing. The quarantine has just shown us how important hairdressers are in the state of mind of society.

At X-presion we use hair as a canvas and experimentation, showing innovation and art, creating our own imaginaries that have often become global trends and viral phenomena on social media for beauty lovers.

Express, Create and Share is their mantra. Creative Freedom, Purity and Independence their values. Color, Shape and Texture the axis of his creative education method.
3, everything goes around that key number in them that gives the balance to build something never seen in the industry.

They regularly travel around the world spreading their creations for companies on the 5 continents.
The current situation makes creativity emerge in different ways to finish the documentary that began in 2017 by recording most of the Hairdressing Icons and themselves in different world capitals. London (UK), Xiamen (China), Madrid (Spain)

A legacy of X-presion that will remain forever reflected in this documentary and that is nothing more than a positive message to society and new generations of dedication, to use your life in the incessant search to achieve your dreams.

In October 2020, RESET was held, the largest event in the history of hairdressing with more than 20,000 people connected online from every corners of the planet to enjoy a transformative event. 60 minutes of pure joy.

Motivated by the current circumstances and resilience that characterizes us, we launched this crowdfounding to together finish this documentary that talks about hairdressing and where your dreams can take you.

Team and experience

Founded in 2005, X-presion is the first company worlwide dedicated exclusively to reseach and development in the artistic and educational fields of hairdressing.

From its very beginning this creative studio, formed by 3 young entrepreneurs from Madrid – Marco Antonio Restrepo, Jorge Cáncer and Jose Luis Almendral, works on developing new cutting, colouring and dressing techniques, through a mix of different artistic disciplines, materials and concepts.

In such a short period of time X-presion has achieved to transcend beyond the boundaries of hair to all its possible forms. Their endless creativity combined with cosmetic innovation and scientific investigation let them create literal pieces of art.

X-presion comes from a great wish to contribute something new to the world of hairdressing – a challenge that for these three artisans is a never-ending quest.
The trio sees their art as a form of discovery, one that is dedicated exclusively to investigation and innovation within the craft of hairdressing. They create already more than 20 innovative techniques as #xpresionpixel, Disruptive color, braille color, #xpresionthread , Super Mario Pixel Art etc.. Each one of X-presion's projects is a multi-layered creative fusion of music, video, costume design and photography.

To understand what they do, how they do it and why they do it, is necessary to use terms such as **creative freedom, purity and independence.**

After months of research, X-presion  developed  #xpresionpixel, a revolutionary color technique . An innovative coloring process that achieves a new chromatic dimension and color pixelated effect on the hair, while playing with movement and transforming these textures into the appearance of the pixel effect – something never seen before!

#xpresionpixel changes the rules in the color world. A revolution on Instagram, Facebook, TV Fashion Magazines ... already more than 150 millions impacts!

Apart from educating professionals from all over the world and creating spectacular collections, X-presion extend their work to the world of art, music and cinema. Their creations, representing an original mix of music, video, costume design and photography.

In 2010, X-presion became youngest hairdressers to receive the AIPP Grand Trophy, the maximum award in the hairdressing industry. They also hold a record of 8 wins in the AIPP (Association Internationale Presse Professionnelle Coiffure) Hall of Fame. The photographic works of the team were furthermore recognized with New York Photo Award and Spanish National Photo Award.
They also achieve more than 80 front covers in the most importants magazines in the industry.

They produce some of the most influencial and innovatives show concepts in the last years as SECRET Master Class, Show Positivo or Be Beta mixing hairdressing with other arts.

Their shows are in the most important stages around the world as Salon International London, Dubai Opera House , International Hairdressing Awards, Tribu-te Show London , Salon International China, Top Hair Dusserldorf, Hair Brazil, Ebio Mexico, Aveda Congress Minneapoliss, Salon Look Madrid, MCB Paris …

Creating image campaigns and tools for Schwarzkopf Pro, Revlon, Fudge, ghd and also working for other companies like L'oreal, Wella, Revlon , Real Madrid, Sminorff, Sony, Harley Davison, Oracle …..

Nowdays they are inmerse in the filming of Head Hackers a documentary of hairdressing and their lives that also involves the biggest names in the industry .

CUTFILMS - Producer
Cutfilms was born in 2010 as an Audiovisual Producer, has been in charge of the communication of its clients for more than a decade. Due to his experience in the field has evolved from Audiovisual Production Company to 360º Agency that deals with the entire creative process of projects, adding web implementation and communication through social networks.
He has carried out a multitude of projects, including the advertising service of T-Max (Yamaha), the service of the video clip Aspetterò lo stesso of the Italian singer Riki, the commercial of Flashdance the musical, graphics and color of A History of the Future (History Channel), graphics and color of Cocina al punto (TVE), color of Comerse el mundo (TVE), graphics and color of Banana Split (TVE), color of Comerse el mundo (TVE), production of the documentary Monday, production of the documentary Coloring the world by Okuda, edition and graphics of Recuento de Navidad (Telemadrid Christmas special of the year 2020), edition and graphics of finished what was given (Telemadrid), among other projects.

Daniel San Román - Executive Producer
Showrunner, Executive Producer and Director born in Madrid. He moved to the UK to find a future for himself and ended up studying Audiovisual Communication at the University of Portsmouth, after finishing his BA (Honors) Moving Image he expanded his training with courses on radio and photography.

Despite being an off-road professional that ranges from photography to assembly, he has specialized in filmmaking by working on various chains and Programs such as Fly Music (DTT network), Fahrenheit 451 (Channel 9), Los Imposibles (Telemadrid), Police Brigade (La Sexta) and Mujeres, Hombres y Viceversa (Tele 5).

As he is restless and lives learning, he took advantage of all his professional experience to embark on the adventure of creating his own production company: Cutfilms.

From Cutfilms he has done work for important brands such as Vodafone, Tanqueray, Springfield, Bodegas Sonsierra, Yamaha, Schindler, Mapfre, Mercedes, Burn, Monster, Thunder Bitch, Balm Tattoo, Celgene, Emprendedores, Trapa, OCNE, INAEM or Cigna, among others.
In recent times he has been the director of the documentary series A History of the Future for the History Channel (in collaboration with ONZA Entertainment and IAE), the Banana Split (TVE) program, Comerse el mundo (TVE) and Christmas Count (Telemadrid's Christmas special of the year 2020).

He has been the Post-production coordinator for Se acabó lo que se (Telemadrid), he has also produced the commercial for the Yamaha T-Max model, the documentary Monday and the documentary Coloring the world by Okuda.

In addition, he has founded and directs the Good4Good news portal, an ambitious project that seeks to change the dynamics of society and create a community of positive spirit in search of a better future, in other words to be the resistance to the current negative direction of society.

Blas Egea Sarabia - Director
Film director / writer and advertising producer.
Based in Madrid and Ibiza, he is currently in the post-production process of 2 documents, he is also immersed in his first feature film.

Blas combines his day to day with the aforementioned projects and also with creativity and branding content, together with Igloo films and Ink and Movement.

If something defines him, it is that he is a specialist in advertising campaigns and personalized content. He is a professional very close to the world of art thanks to Iam, who together with his creative team, has shot campaigns in various parts of the world.

Currently, in addition to his own projects, he is immersed in 2 international projects as Executive Producer with Sergio Lazarov in the US, one
It is an animation project and a fiction project.

Dani Burgos - DoP
Born in Catalonia, he studied at the Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisuales de Catalunya (ESCAC). He has worked in the audiovisual media sector since in 2004 he had the opportunity to go through various departments, from a film lab to a post-production house. This gives you insight overall of the cinematographic process on film. He has lived the process of evolution and transition from the film itself to digital cinema at a professional level, this makes it a great knowledgeable of the tools available in the current panorama.

He has worked in several films, both national and international, thus testing different working methods. Since having worked in a large production Hispano-North American shot in Morocco (for Dreamteam production company) until having worked a Bollywood production filmed in Spain (production local by Kanzaman Producciones).

It currently bases its field of operations in Spain and frequently in Europe, in countries such as France or the Netherlands. It also highlights the projection on land Asian. He has shot in China and several projects with entirely Japanese productions, contributing his particular point of view and sensitivity.
